Happy 2019 Maple Syrup Season

We’ve had a great start to the 2019 Maple Syrup Season. We completed tapping and have started collecting sap. We put in about 775 taps. So, with an average season we can expect to collect about 7,750 gallons (about 40 tons) of sap, which would produce about 200 gallons of syrup. Right now the conditions are good (snow cover and frost in the ground) and the weather looks great (freezing at night, 40s during the day). We’ve had lots of help along the way, which is one of the best parts of maple syrups season for us. We love it when we get to welcome visitors (and put them to work) and show-off our sugarbush and maple syrup operation.
